I’m Jacob Mills, aka. Jacob On Record. I'm a drumming, recording, and photographing creative based in Meanjin, Brisbane.

I live to help artists bring their ideas to life through live performance, studio sessions, and visuals that help tell their story.

My work spans a decade at this point, from playing in classical ensembles to playing and recording with bands across countless genres, and more recently, capturing the local Brisbane scene through my lens.

Each project I take on is about collaboration, finding that shared energy between people who love creating and chasing this unifying feeling together.

Over the years, I’ve worked across rock, funk, jazz, soul, and hip-hop, performing everything from sold-out indie gigs to theatre productions.

Whether behind the kit or the camera, I’m always chasing the same thing: feel, flow, and honesty in the work.

Jacob On Record has come into existence as the intersection of these worlds. A space for people to see my music, photography, and creativity in a unified way to help express myself as a whole picture.
